Phillip and Rudy Bangor--- San Fran Babby!, July 02

First, Phillip and I would like to thank all the boys with the tight jeans and snug fitting shirts down at the Shop.  We appreciated their willingness to work with us and our three pekinese princesses.  We would especially like to thank the one called Scott, for a while I thought he was hitting on Phillip but I soon realized that it is normal for him to wear his pants loose when he bends over.  I guess they call this Plummer butt but Phillip thought it meant something else (naughty boy for sure!). We would also like to thank the sweat one called Gordon.  Gordon called and called everyday, sometimes just to shoot the breeze and get caught up on the local hang outs Phillip and I go to.  We were a little confused why Gordon wanted to dance with us all the time but we did appreciate the slow dances and wondering hands (if ya know what I mean). We also appreciated when Gordon would stop by and have a few nightcaps with us.  While we enjoyed his company he did get a little too handsy one night so we had to ask him to stop coming over.  We still love him though, kudos Gordon for sticking your nose in all the right places.

Well enough of the thank you stuff and on to our lovely story.  Phillip and I were traveling the country side in our pink Mary Kay town car when we drove into a sleepy little town called Couer D' alane Idaho. When we stopped and parked the car we fell in love with the place.  We then sold all our assets in San Fran and moved into town. We love it here.

Phillip and I enjoyed the night life and entertainment in town.  When Phillip and I would bar hop we would always see a stout young man wearing fancy cloths and bright pink shoes everywhere we went.  After a couple of weeks of running into this stranger I finally had an opportunity to talk to him.  This strapping young man introduced himself as "Dawes"-- "Gary Dawes". He was fascinating to say the least.  As Phillip and I became closer to him (if you know what I mean) we started to find out more about his business and interests.  This is when we met the hot boys in the EMT Shop (come recessitate me, Phillip always says).  After dancing and bar hoping with Gary for a few months, we were convinced that boat ownership was in our future. This is when we were also introduced to (make my heart stop now) Gordon aka-sir-hands-alot

We worked feverishly with the boys to figure out the best boat for us.  After doing a little research it seems that a lot of boys like Phillip and I migrate to Searay boats.  They say they are long and sleek, slow moving, fuel hungry, over priced  and plush. (perfect for Phillip and I). Gary and (make by heart stop now) Gordon started to look for our dreamy water ride.  After a few months Gary located a boat in Seattle for us.  Gary made the arrangements for Phillip and I along with Gary and Gordon to make the trip over.  The arrangements were nice but for some reason Gary only booked one room with a king size bed.  While Phillip and I were a little nervous about the sleeping arrangements we trusted Gary (not Gordon). After bar hopping for 6 hours we all came back to the room and fell asleep on the big bed.  In the middle of the night I awoke to someone calling for Jesus and the room was spinning.  I shut my eyes and fell asleep.  In the morning I woke up to see Phillip, Gary and Gordon in their underwear smoking cigars. When I asked them what happened last night they all grinned and puffed on their cigars. To this day no one will tell me what happened.  Enough about this issue............

We then got dressed and boarded a fancy smancy SeaRay named SeaBitch.  I liked the name right off!  After taking the vessel for a ride (if ya know what I mean). Phillip and I knew this was the vessel for us.  Gary then inspected the boat and confirmed our decision. We made an offer and Andy and Andrew accepted it.  To celebrate our purchase Andy and Andrew agreed to take us all our for a ride.  We then set off into the Sound and had a super duper party for the next three days.  From what I can remember Andy and Andrew became close friends with Gary and Gordon and they still spend time together during the winters (what a great feel good story)

We now have our boat on Coeur D' alane lake.  When we first came over people complained about the boat name of SeaBitch so we have renamed it to My Pansy.

Come see us at the lake and if you know of anyone looking for a pink town car give Gary or Gordon a call.  Phillip and I would also like to say that Gary and Gordon are guys that will always stand behind you to give you that extra push to make sure you are satisfied.

Bob and Betty Butox-- Tyler Texas, June 01

My name is Bob, my friends call me big Bob.  I weigh a little over 450lbs and I'm 5 foot 2---and proud of it.  Me and Betty like to go boating on our 35ft yacht here in Texas. We love everything about our boat except for the toilet and the holding tank. Since I'm a big guy I like to eat and of course read the paper in the bathroom.  Since this is my favorite sporting event I spend a lot of time in this room. Before we hired EMT survey to help us out I frankly used to get stuck in there after contorting my body to get on the seat. After I was there for a while the blood used to cut off to my feat since I spent soo much time in there.  There were even times when I had to yell for Betty to come help me out.  She would have to pull on my arms while kicking her feet against the door. I also found that the longer I sat the tighter I would make a tight seal with my bottom on the toilet.  This made Betty work harder to get he off of the pot.  Needless to say we needed to find a better solution to this issue.  My friends Sam and Samantha Snivell told us about a vendor in Northern Idaho that had really helped them out with a purchase they just made.  We had talked to a lot of local vendors in our area but they either laughed or hung up on us. After initially contacting Glen Slobum and discussing our issue with him, we knew that EMT was the vendor for us. Glen took the time to discuss our issue and also confided with us that he has similar issues on his boat where his holding tank was just way to small for his volume. Glen then put us with Dawes, Gary Dawes.

Gary handled our issue with kid gloves (or should I say rubber gloves). Gary listened to our concerns and questions. He also gave us a few references to call so we did.  There was one client of Gary's who is still happy with the skag extensions and even told us he might have Gary and his crew add a basement to their boat (pretty cool in our book!). Gary also explained that he has had some problems with some steal lunkers in the past so he too could sympathize with my request.

Well anyway after Betty and I got comfortable with Glen and Gary we stuck up a deal where Gary would come down with his crew and start the renovation. Gary explained to us that 99% percent of the time we use the port side of our boat to tie up so we should look to the starboard side to expand. This was great news since the existing bathroom is on the starboard side (what great luck). Gary drew out his plans on a napkin at the Ihop with Betty and I.  At this point we knew he meant business.    Gary's plan was to extent the bathroom another 5 feet on the starboard side of the boat.  This would leave a box like extension on the starboard side, but Gary insured us that this extension would not only make our bathroom bigger but it would assist us in navigation, he even offered to throw in a bottom skag for this extension to balance out our bathroom comfort (what a thoughtful guy).  Gary also noted that there are a ton of SeaRay owners who would love to have this conversion, so his work on this project would be used as a calling card for more work up North.

It took Gary and his crew two weeks to get this innovation installed. I must say that Betty and I were uncomfortable when Glen took out the hole saw and cut out the side of the boat but after I focused my eyes on the porcelain that was brought in my eyes began to water with excitement. Gary, Glen and his crewed worked feverishly for two weeks.  On the 15th day I received a call from Gary that his work was complete.  I ran over to pick up Betty with my dually one ton and we broke the speed record getting down there. As we were walking down the boardwalk to get to the boat, the first thing that caught my eye was the sun shinning off of the new extension and the shadow of what appeared to be a four foot skag under the extension. This excited me because Gary first promised a two foot skag so I speculated this was a surprise from Gary.  When we walked into the boat we noticed Glen coming out of the bathroom, as we walked closer Glen asked us to wait a few minutes until we entered. He said that he has just lit some candles to improve the ambience of our experience. We took his advise and reviewed the costs with Gary.  After a few minutes I could wait no longer so I bolted down to the bathroom and opened the door in amazement. Gary had not only extended the room out 5 feet but he also lowered it 3 feet so I had to step down into the bathroom. As I pranced around like a good fairy in the Nut Cracker, my eyes focused on the porcelain in the back of the extension.  I had to rub my eyes because I thought I saw two,  After I walked over I indeed saw two porcelain thrones.  Gary also upgraded the flush system to the new Turbo (Anti Lunker) system. It appears this system has been banned in Australia because it has sucked in small children standing next to the throne, but since Betty and I are single we thought the extra sucking power would help with my steal lunkers, which I'm now taking pills for.

Gary had surprised me beyond my wildest dreams. It appears Betty worked with Gary to surprise me with dual thrones.  It appears Betty wants to spend more time with me.  It makes me tear up just thinking about this. Gary also said that he could come back next year and add an autopilot steering system so Betty and I could spend the majority of the day in our new area while we are auto piloting the gulf. Gary also let us know that he reduced the fuel tank on the boat and added an additional 75 gallons of holding water.  Now we can go out for longer excursions without holding up on our intake.

We can't wait for Gary to come back next year and install our auto pilot navigation system. By the Way, I'm writing this letter on my laptop in my new bathroom.  I now find that I spend two to three hours a day here.  Thanks Gary and Glen, this project was everything I was hoping for.

Earl and Earlene Thumpster, Spokane Washington, June 1973

Me and Earlene were stuck in a sandbar east of Harrison one day.  As Earlene screamed at the sight of my white body when I took off my shirt to get in the water, she passed out and hit her head on my tackle box (thank goodness my dodger plug was put away or it would have pierced her buttock). As I was pulling myself into my boat I heard a small voice coming from over yonder. After I heard this little voice I saw a strapping young man come running over to our boat. He took off his shirt and jumped into the water.  As he swam over to our boat he kind of reminded me of a beaver looking for his den, when he reached our boat he pushed me into the boat which woke up Earlene.,  As Earlene and I looked on this strapping young man lifted up our boat and pushed it off the sandbar.  He then shoved us off where Earlene and I started paddling our Pelican 540 dual seat paddle boat into calmer water.  When we yelled to thank him and ask his name, he said "The name is Dawes, Gary Dawes". As we waved goodbye he dropped is trousers and mooned us.  Needless to say Earlene fainted again, but this time I moved my tackle box before she hit it.   I guess you can say; that day burned an image of support into our minds that everyone can now experience.  Our suggestion is to get your service from Gary then never turn around to see what he is doing behind your back.

Richard Cranium  -  Post Falls Idaho, May 1990

Gary owes me a refund.  He installed a bait pump in my 16 foot tracker which sucked out a champion 25 pound walleye I caught in Sun Up Bay. Gary insisted in installing the 3hp pump in my portable "Coleman" cooler.  I wanted the 2 hp pump but Gary insisted that the extra horse power would be better. Now that I have lost my championship walleye and the $200 prize, my wife and I are going to have to sell our 14 foot mobile home and sleep in the back of my 77 Chevy pickup. My advice to anyone in dealing with EMTsurvey is to make sure Gary does not talk you into more suction than you can handle. Also if you know of anyone interested in our 14 foot mobile mobile home, let them know we have recently updated the central Vac with professional installation by EMTSurvey (This time Gary calculated the proper suction needed to vacuum up Old Red's ticks and flees from our bearskin rug).

Ben and Sally MeOvr, Post Falls Idaho, Dec 2002

Sally and I took our boat to Expert Marine Technology to install two 4.5 foot skags on the bottom of our 37 foot SeaRay.  Since SeaRay is known for poor steering, handling, navigation, craftsmanship, functionality, accessories, drivability, workmanship, design, window design, aerodynamics, and gas mileage,   Gary suggested these skags to smooth out our ride. Gary also noted that we paid too much for the boat to start with so this expensive and extravagant option would make us think we have a better boat because we paid more (Sally and I liked this idea) While it took a few weeks for Gary and his crew to get this installed, Sally and I could not be happier.  Since this project took a little longer than Gary expected he threw in some high school pictures of him in his Speedo during a high school diving competition. While I cannot say I really enjoyed these, Sally has been taking them to her bridge club where the girls have been falling out of their chairs with delight.  I must also note that while our boat does handle better (and is obviously more expensive than our other friends SeaRay's) we are forced to park our boat out in the lake and taxi in to shore. Sally and I think this is great because everyone now notices us when when come in to the marina. ---  Thanks Gary, Sally and Ben MeOvr are happy with your work...

Sam and Samantha Snivell, Smoeville South Carolina, Jan 2003

We found EMTsurvey's name on the internet and decided to have Gary's company do a survey on a boat we were looking at in Coeur d' lane. The sales ad referred to this vessel as "one of a kind, Bristol condition houseboat".  The pictures were a little hard to see because of darkness and what appeared to be 5 or 8 drunk individuals posing in very small Speedo's by the vessel. We were able to make out the name of the boat "Muskrat Love" so we were encouraged since my wife and I love this song by the Carpenters. After initially contacting EMTsurvey we must say that the person answering the phone was somewhat rude and irritating. I believe his name was Glen Slobum but Gary assured us that this person was a young DECA high school student he was training on telephone etiquette and customer service.  After getting past this irritable person and on to Gary things started to run smoother.

We had Gary and his team of experts do a survey on this vessel.  Gary reported that the vessel was indeed in Bristol condition and a great buy.  We trusted Gary so much that we sent our money over and had Gary arrange transportation back to South Carolina. This is where the story gets interesting, it appears the company that Gary hired to transport the vessel subcontracted the transportation to a husband and wife team based out of Tijuana Mexico. It appears these drivers loaded the vessel out of Idaho and drove directly to Tijuana.  It is our understanding that Muskrat Love has been re-named to Hot Momma and is being used as a tour boat down there.

After working with the FBI on this issue it appears that they have done some investigation and it appears that a person of interest in this story is the so called DECA student "Glen Slobum" who used to work for Gary.  The FBI also matched some of the original pictures of the drunk individuals in the original sales pictures to Gary and his staff.  It appears this picture was taken during a company picnic last summer on the lake. The FBI was unable to get a clear picture of Glen Slobum since some of the individuals were turned around "or so we think".  Gary assures us he is also looking for Glen so if you see him Gary wants you to call him first so he can get right on it.

The bottom line of our story is it appears EMTsurvey is a stand up business who is interested in giving all they can to the customer. While we have lost a considerable investment we feel confident that EMTsurvey will track down Glen Slobum and get our vessel back.
