A Very Good Week,
Lori went to Seattle with a good friend of hers (Kathy Vennum) for her treatments. Her blood counts were good so she received the full meal deal. She is feeling pretty tired this week and our weather has started to get cold so she wants to sleep all the time (so do I!). When Lori weighed in this week she was up 5 or 6 pounds so we are thankful for her weight gain.
We are preparing for our next Scans on Sept 13th so keep Lori in your prayers for her continued healing.
We spent a pretty relaxing weekend at home this week. We just hung around the house with no agenda and no company to stay up for. We all felt guilty, but what the heck we deserved it.
Ashton has her first official volleyball game this evening. She will be playing JV and Varsity. She is the setter and back row player. She has really worked hard this year so I hope her effort pays off for her. The varsity team this year is pretty weak so it will be a learning year for all. Ashton has also been busy with her ASB duties (Treasurer) and her Link Crew effort for incoming freshman.
Tony had a scrimmage game last week and they play a in a jamboree this Friday. He has done very well with his two-a-day practices so now the fun starts when he can hit someone.
I was able to get out on the golf course for 18 holes last weekend. It was a beautiful day and I got my monies worth by hitting the ball as many times as I could. As my cuz Bridget in Louisiana would say, "I got to use my golf sticks last weekend".
The animals are doing great. Buddy and the cat have warmed up to “Hope” so everything is back to normal for now (that is until Hope grows a little more). So far the cat has double punched him a few times and Buddy has reminded him who is the alpha male a few times, other than that he is adjusting very well. (Make sure to see the new pictures of hope in the picture section).
Lori and I continue to thank God for his grace on us and our family. We are blessed in many ways and we thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.
God Bless.
