Good News,

Dr Picozzi is very happy with Lori's chemo program and is very happy that it appears everything is controlled at this point.  We will still continue this chemo program for the next two months with new CT's after labor day.  Dr. Picozzi keeps telling Lori and I that he has an intuition that everything is going to work well and so far his initial feelings and thoughts are coming true.  Lori's white blood count was at 5000 so she is doing a great job of recharging every other week. I must also mention that Lori and I have been doing a great job of sucking up to the staff over in Seattle because we have had a private room for out last 6 treatments so we are fortunate for sure!  It also took us 6 hours to get back from Seattle this time because of a wreck over the pass that backed up traffic for 10 miles.

We have planned a vacation to the Washington Coast this summer.  We leave Spokane on Aug 7th and travel to Leavenworth Washington for an evening. Leavenworth is a German motif town and has lots of things to do.  We are then headed for a ferry ride to the Olympic coast.  We have booked at night at Herb's motel in Sekiu so hopefully this will be as fun as the name.  They have a two night minimum but we worked in a one night stay.  The fish are evidently running at this time of the year.   After leaving (the most western part of the contiguous United States) we are headed down to Long Beach Washington for the week.  We have a horse ride on the beach, and family portraits on the beach planned.  We then return to Seattle for a Chemo treatment and then back to Spokane.

After talking to Picozzi were are also going to Louisiana this year for Thanksgiving.  We are booked to leave on Nov 22 and return on the 29th.  We have lots of family to visit and we are stopping in Dallas so this should be fun.

The kids are busy this week with Ashton's Softball tournament and Tony's baseball tournament. Tony has a football camp next week but Ashton will be finished with summer sports so I'm sure she will laying around the pool doing something constructive.  Last week Tony spend the week with his buddy Ben at his grandparents lake cabin.  Tony said this was one of the best vacations he has ever had so thanks to Ben and his grandparents for this treat.  During Tony's stay he caught a 25 inch, 6 pound rainbow trout.  We have it in the freezer if anyone wants to see it.

Lori has also been coming in to work a little more since her energy has built back up.  She looks forward to this and the ability to see her extend CCS family members.

God Bless and keep up the positive prayer.
