On Tuesday Lori was in Seattle to meet with Dr. Picozzi at Virginia Mason.  Dr Picozzi offered us hope and news of success that we had not heard for three weeks. We have decided to stay with Dr. Picozzi for treatment in Seattle so our schedule will be two 1/2 day Mondays with a week break.  We start treatment this Monday 5/12 at 8:40am. We will be shuffling from Seattle and Spokane by car and occasional air transportation and staying with Lori's sister (Cyndi) when we need to stay in Seattle.

Lori's cancer is a rare one that is usually found in older adults between the ages of 60 and 80 years of age.  As such the statistics available from various sources are not specific to Lori. Dr. Picozzi warns us that these numbers do not apply to Lori because of her age and great physical condition.  Dr. Picozzi is also not 100% sure of the type of cancer so at this time we would prefer to let everyone know we are facing a tough cancer battle and to pray for success.

Lori had a hair appointment today.  She decided to cut her hair short since her cancer treatments will result in her hair loss. She has also been looking at some wigs so maybe she will be a redhead for a while?

Lori's mom Bonnie is also here this week.  We will be taking her back to Seattle when we leave this Sunday.  We also hope to get out to the lake this weekend for a little boating.

Lori's favorite scriptures: By Whose Stripes Ye were healed.        Peter 2:24

With his stripes we are healed.             Isaiah 53:5

Lori and I appreciate your prayers and kind thoughts.
