Another eventful week.  Tony is between sports so things have really slowed down this week. For me it seems that my memories of Lori during our 27 month journey are getting blurry and my memories before Lori was diagnosed are becoming stronger.  (Funny how the mind plays tricks).  I'm finding it harder to remember all of the tough decisions, news and daily struggles we went thru. I'm not sure if this is a healthy sign for my brain but my heart is as broken today as it was on April 16th 2003 when Lori was first diagnosed. This week I have been finding myself getting really frustrated at what we have been thru as a family and how unfair it is that Lori left so young.  It is a hard feeling to describe but I feel helpless, empty and alone to bring up two great kids who loved their Mom more than anything. It just sucks!

Ashton is doing very well in school.  She tells me she has a 93% average in all her classes so her move to College has been successful so far.  She met with her school counselor this week (a good friend of Lori's) and Ashton has signed up for 18 credits next quarter.  She has her first class to observe in the classroom so this will really let her know if she wants to teach elementary. She will also have an English and math class as well as a fitness class where her and I can still work out together. She has been out to dinner with some of her high school friends lately which is good for her.  She needs to get out more and enjoy life.  I think she purposely stays home a lot to make sure I'm not alone at night.  Her job is going well and she turned in her tips of almost $400 for the last 3 months so her tips are adding up.

Tony has finished football.  He had a great year and is looking forward to next year.  Yesterday he tells me he benched pressed 235 so he is truly getting stronger.  He started a job at a friend of mine's tire shop.  He is busting down tires and mounting snow tires after school and for 4 hours on Saturday.  The work is tough but he seems to be enjoying the people there and feeling good about making some money.  Now we will see how he feels about $7 an hour and how he spends his paycheck. He seems to be spending a lot of time with his special little friend Jenny too so he will need some extra cash to do things like go to the movies.  He will be starting his winter conditioning for baseball in the next few weeks.  His first baseball game will be on March 10th so he has to get ready now.

No Stats last week so things have slowed for me.  Kevin and I have been preparing some really neat stat packages for the football seniors and a couple of Juniors (Tony and some of his close friends). Last week I drove over to Montana with Joe and his boss to deliver the metrogilliten to its new owners.  We did the trip in a day and had a lot of fun.  I have been over to Joe's shop helping him swap out some motors and learning everything I can.  Being in Joe's shop gets me going to set mine up. We will start to work on my Camaro in the next few weeks.  We will be putting fuel injection into it so it going to be cool.  I have been polishing up my parts so that I will have engine bling soon.

Each of us are busy but  I can honestly say that not a day goes by that we do not talk about some aspect relating to Lori.  I know this sounds strange but I feel that she is here with us always.  We can't hear her but we talk to her and we feel her presence.  We Love you Lori!
