Another Busy Week

First of all our friend "Gary Fox" who died when he feel off his boat was found last week. We are grateful that he was returned to his family.  Ashton and I are going to his funeral today.  Gary was in the same class as Lori, honorable people on earth so God seems to be getting some great ones to lead up there.  I know Lori was in line to greet him so that makes me feel good.

This week as I was mowing my lawn I really felt Lori's presence.  When I mowed the lawn in the past Lori would always be inside flipping me off or making funny faces as I drove my lawnmower by the window. This was my first mow of the year so I stared into the house on every pass.  I would visualize Lori standing there making a funny face and I had to laugh to myself.  Of course these are constant reminders that my best friend is not here physically, but I feel her presence in everything I do. I miss her so much and I still get frustrated and sad, but I have to constantly look back on our blessings (a great family and tons of great memories for my kids and I.  We were also blessed with an extended time to say goodbye, I know this sounds strange but our friend Gary never had the time to say goodbye and see you later!).

Ashton has been busy with getting her graduation stuff ready.  Her and I sat down last week and got all of her invitations out the door. We had a couple go to England so they should be there by July of this year.  Ashton has also been hired to work at the Rocket Bakery.  She will be the Coffee Queen at the YMCA in the valley. Stop by and buy a cup of Joe from her.  She starts this Saturday at 6:45am.  She has also been babysitting so she is rolling in the dough. Her and her friends are getting excited for Orlando.  So far we have 13 kids going so it should be fun for all. If you want to see where we are going click here:  www.orangelake.com.  Lori and I planned this trip for Ashton and her friends two years ago. We have three 2 bedroom condo's that sleep 8 each. One for girls, one for boys and one for Tony, I and one of his friends.

Tony just finished up his sophomore baseball season.  He ended up as the starting third baseman for JV and he did well at the plate.  Last night they won their game in the 10th inning.  Tony has two singles a walk, a strike out and two RBi's.  He is now getting ready to start summer ball. He has not cut his hair in a few months so he is looking really, really good. I'm going to cut it when he is sleeping this weekend! He has been doing well driving so no complaints in that department yet.

I have been busy getting the house and yard in Summer order.  Last weekend I replaced the liner in my pool.  The winter ripped the old one.  The water is now in and circulating so come over and swim anytime.  I have my sprinklers going (two heads need replacing) and my truck is full and ready to make one of many trips to the dump. Tomorrow I have another Shock game.  The head office is very happy with the stats so we are shinning examples of how to do this for other teams. This is a lot of fun!  I still have tons of yard work to do and a ton of garage stuff to go thru.  Lots to do.

Please continue to pray for peace for our family. We continually have "Ambush" moments where situations take us out emotionally.  Lori is ever present in our lives with Pictures, mementoes, wind chimes, voice recordings in the kids "Build a Bears", and in everyday conversation.  It goes without saying that we Love and miss her daily.

God Bless
